Paula (Hidden in the Attic)has been taking care of our Mom and then she also made a move recently so she hasn't been able to create for a few months. She has some new patterns in the works!

I (Tammie, Make Me a Memory)have been in and out of the hospital since October. I probably have spent 3 months or more out of 6 months in the hospital with the last time being March 10th. I was in intensive care for 7 days and then stayed another week. I am feeling better and hopefully on the mend. I miss creating and hope to have some things to offer soon. One day at a time! Thanks for being patient with us!

An update on me (Tammie): After 28 days in the hospital I am finally home. Thank God that my kidneys are healing. I had to have dialysis daily and they gave me 7 pints of blood. I didn't realize how sick I was but thank God I won't have to have permanent dialysis. I am taking one day at a time and hopefully will be back to creating soon. Thank you for all your prayers and concern while I was away.

Just wanted to update you all concerning my sister Tammie. (Make me A Memory) She's still in the hospital. It's been going on 2 weeks now. She's been fighting infection,fever and her kidney's are failing. Please add her in your prayers. Hopefully she will get well soon and be home sewing again. Thanks to everyone.

I finished my Strawberries this morning! I have decided that my strawberries will be my sitting in the car waiting on children in carpool or soccer and baseball games project! For all of you wanting to get a early start on Christmas, here are my newest Santa patterns.
Patterns are mailed out within 24 hours of receiving payment. These are paper patterns only.
The Chimney Santa measures 5 ½ x 13 inches in size. He also holds a little 4 ½ inch Snowman Ornament.

My Blue Santa is my take on the old Antique Candy Box Santa’s. He measures 16 inches tall.
If you decide not to make his Boots, I give you another option. He will still have his Candy Box but just a little shorter. In his right arm, he holds a little 4 inch Lamb.

We are having thunderstorms and I have my windows wide open because I love watching and listening to the rain. Nothing like a Spring rain to bring out the greens and flowers for Spring! An Easter Story I think of every year... Have a Blessed Easter!

Last Spring on a Sunday afternoon we took one of our "nowhere" drives thru the country. My husband was quietly driving along some back roads. I was occupied in the front passenger seat watching out the window as the scenery went by.

I noticed out of the corner of my eye that my husband was straining to look out my window. This startled me, since his eyes should be on the road in front of him. I asked him what he was looking at out the windows, and he quietly replied, "Nothing. " He could have said he was looking for pine tree crosses for Easter. His eyes went back to the road in front of him.

After a few minutes, I looked over at my husband and noticed a tear running down his cheek. I asked him what was wrong. This time he told me, "I was just thinking about Pop and a story he had once told me." Of course, because it had to do with his Pop I wanted to know the story, so I asked him to share Pop's story with me.

He said, "When I was about 8 years old, Pop and I were out fishing and that's when he told me that the pine trees know when it is Easter."

I had no idea what he meant by that, so I pressed him for more information.

He continued on... "The Pine trees start their new growth in the weeks before Easter -- if you look at the tops of the Pine trees two weeks before Easter, you will see the yellow shoots. As the days get closer to Easter Sunday, the tallest shoot will branch off and form pine tree crosses for Easter. By the time Easter Sunday comes around, you will see that most of the Pine trees will have small yellow crosses on all of the tallest pine shoots."

I turned to look out the window and I couldn't believe my eyes. It was a week before Easter, and you could see all of the pine trees with the tall yellow shoots stretching to Heaven.

The tallest ones shone in the sunlight like rows of tiny golden crosses.
